encourage her to follow thru on her recovery plan. hopefully the IOP staff and recovery supports will connect with her. The guilt and shame will become less and less and get worked out through these relationships. but she needs to keep going to group and meetings

My daughter just graduated from a 3 month residential program. My biggest fear was what would happen after discharge. Real life again, it will smack you in the face. Being in a controlled enviroment for 3 months….I believe a part of a person gets used to the structure and being sequestered. She has a lot lined up. IOP, celebrated recovery, united ministries. But, 14% is a low number. She said she is dealing with the guilt and shame aspect. I said I don’t want her to feel that way. Any suggestions????
